U.S. MARINE SECOND LT. ILARIO PANTANO NOT GUILTY OF MURDER

Murder charges were dropped today against 2nd Lt. Ilario Pantano who riddeled 2 Iraqi surgents with bullets and posted a signe on their dead bodies that read “no better friend, no worse enemy”.

Autopsies conducted on the Iraqis' exhumed bodies backed Pantano's assertion that he shot them in self-defense after the men disobeyed his instructions and made a menacing move toward him, Marine officials said – AP

It’s great to hear the charges have been dropped; however in my opinion they never should have filed them in the first place. My heart goes out to the Pantano family for all the undo stress that has been put upon them over this case. It seems that Rules of Engagement only apply to our men in uniform. Who is holding these murderous insurgents accountable for the atrocities they commit daily?
